Explore the delights of White Cliffs Country and discover castles and forts at almost every turn. Visit the remains of ancient Roman forts at Richborough and in Dover (the Roman Painted House) or the unique 'Tudor Rose' castles of Walmer, Deal and Sandown (the last is just a ruin). Of course a visit to this corner of Kent would not be complete without seeing the most famous castle of all - ' The Key to the Kingdom' - Dover Castle.
Deal, with its splendid castle and pier is the perfect centre from which to explore the cycle routes in this picturesque corner of Kent.
